Calendar and activities

Plan calls, meetings and tasks, invite colleagues and get reminders.

The Calendar holds all your calls, meetings and tasks. Every activity you log against a contact, lead or opportunity appears here too, so your day is in one place.

Opening the calendar

Click Calendar in the sidebar or the calendar icon in the top bar. Switch between day, week and month, or show the activities as a list. You can also see colleagues’ calendars alongside your own.

Kinds of activity

KindUsed for
CallA phone call: log the outcome and notes.
MeetingIn person or online: add invitees and a location.
TaskA to-do with a due date, ticked off when done.

Creating an activity

  1. 1
Click + in the top bar and choose an event or task — or open a contact, lead or opportunity and add it from its Activities tab, or click a time slot in the calendar.
  2. 2
    Fill in:
    • Subject
    • Activity Type — call or meeting
    • Start Date & Time and End Date & Time
    • Status
    • Related To — the record it is about
    • Assigned To
    • Send Email Reminder Before — how long before the start to remind you (by email and the bell)
    • Description — agenda or notes
  3. 3
If a field you need isn’t shown — such as Related To, the reminder or invitees — click Go to full form.
  4. 4
    Click Save.

Reminders

When an activity’s reminder is due, the bell in the top bar shows it. From there you can open the activity, snooze it for a few minutes or an hour, or dismiss it.

Logging a completed call

  1. 1
Open the activity from the calendar or from the record’s Activities tab.
  2. 2
    Set its status to Held.
  3. 3
Add your notes in the description.
  4. 4
    Click Save.
Tip:Write call notes straight after the call, while you remember the details. A few bullet points make a big difference weeks later.

Inviting colleagues

  1. 1
Open the meeting’s full form (from Quick Create, click Go to full form) and find Invite Users in the Invite section.
  2. 2
    Add the colleagues you want.
  3. 3
They get an invitation, and the meeting appears in their calendars too.

Tasks

Tasks are to-dos without a time slot, such as “Send the proposal” or “Review the contract”. The Tasks icon in the top bar opens your task board, grouped by due date or priority. When you tick a task done, Omnir offers to create a follow-up task.

Note:If your workspace has calendar sync turned on, you can connect your Google or Microsoft 365 calendar so your meetings stay the same in both places.
